We handcraft, piece by piece, the crosses and pieces of the Neocatechumenal Way, without correcting what makes them true.
More than an object
A cross is not worth it for its bronze. It's worth it for what it proclaims.
Our pieces are born from the meeting of art, faith and a craft passed from father to son. Every piece holds Óscar's story: a locksmith who did not yet know how to cast metal, and who agreed to learn because a community needed him to.
What began as a service became a legacy.

Our history
Thirty years guarding a piece that almost got lost.
Jesús Blázquez brought to Colombia the model of a cross linked to the art of Kiko Argüello and entrusted its making to Óscar. Óscar was a locksmith: he did not know how to cast metal, and in those years artisans jealously guarded their secrets. No one wanted to teach him.
He learned alone, watching, studying, testing, failing, until he mastered the craft. For years he served the communities. Then the workshop stopped. When the piece was needed again, Óscar could no longer manage alone, and he passed the craft on to his son. That is how the workshop was reborn.
The handcrafted process
Made one by one.
Every piece goes through the model, the mold, the bronze casting, the demolding, the cleaning, the polishing, the finish and a final inspection.
The small differences between one piece and another are not defects: they are the signature of handmade work.
The bronze
Bronze receives the light and gives it back.
We chose it for its strength, its permanence and the warmth of its tones. Light travels across the reliefs and reveals, depending on the angle, details that remained hidden in the shadow.
That glow, for us, says something: like the love of God, light reaches the piece, reveals its depth, and transforms what it touches.

For decades our pieces have reached communities, families and celebrations across Colombia. Many crossed borders, requested by those who came to know the work by word of mouth, within the communities.

Authenticity
We preserve, we do not reinterpret.
Over the years, versions appeared that changed proportions, removed details, or corrected irregularities that were part of the piece. We keep those details.
We do not make the piece industrially perfect. We keep it faithful.

For an ordination, a wedding or a first communion, we prepare the piece with careful packaging, send it to the honoree's home, and add a card with the piece's meaning. If you'd like, we can engrave a dedication.
